About
We print the parts BMW stopped making.
The Missing Part was born out of frustration. If you’ve ever tried to restore a classic BMW, you know the drill — you find the part number on RealOEM, search every supplier, and get the same answer: No Longer Available.
We’re based in Johannesburg, South Africa, and we use industrial-grade 3D printing to bring these parts back. Every part is printed on demand on a Prusa Core One in engineering-grade materials — ASA for UV stability, Nylon for mechanical strength, TPU for flexible seals.
Our approach
- Research — We dig through forums, parts catalogues, and broken originals to identify what’s needed
- Design — Every part is modelled from OEM specifications and real-world measurements
- Print — On-demand production means no stale inventory and fresh parts every time
- Iterate — Customer feedback drives design improvements
Materials we use
- ASA — UV-stable, heat-resistant. For exterior and engine bay parts
- PETG — Strong, reliable. For interior trim and general use
- Nylon PA — Superior wear resistance. For mechanical and high-stress parts
- TPU — Flexible. For grommets, seals, and anything that needs to flex
Can’t find what you need?
We do custom orders. Send us your broken part — or even just photos and measurements — and we’ll design and print a replacement.
